Forming and forging are the techniques used in moving metal into specific shapes or forms. In this two day workshop, students will learn how to create leaves and floral forms through hammering techniques. Great opportunity to learn from an artist and instructor that utilizes these techniques in her own art.
There will be plenty of time for students to experiment with:
- Forging a taper to create and complete a spiral
- Making multi-layered floral elements
- Forming leaves with fishtailing
- Gain confidence with the torch and understanding of the importance of annealing
***This class is designed to focus on this specific technique only. No finished work will be made.
