Jewelry 101: Rings and Bracelets with Creative Side Instructor

Saturday - Sunday, September 7-8, 10-6P

Spend a full weekend learning the core techniques of jewelry making and the tools and equipment of a metalsmithing studio. Design 3 very important facets of the jewelry world: rings, bangles and cuffs.  Practice several fabrication techniques in copper, nickel and brass

This course will cover the essentials of fabrication:
- Soldering
- Flex Shaft Techniques
- Filing, Sanding + Finishing
- Basic Wire Working
- Texturing
- Forming techniques for shaping and sizing rings, cuffs, and bangles

Combine your knowledge to design and fabricate rings and bracelets in square and round stock sterling silver, copper and/or brass.  Absolute beginners and intermediate students are welcome!


Take this class with Bezel and Tab Setting to receive a full immersion in our 101 program.  Once you have completed both courses you are eligible to take our 201: Intermediate Class where you will learn to make hollow forms, hinges, and more!!
