Soldering 101 with Steve Kriechbaum
Saturday + Sunday, February 4-5, 10am-6pm
Soldering 101 will introduce you to the jeweler’s torch and you will gain experience in soldering joints and appliqué (layering metals together). Extinguish your fear of the flame and become confident and proficient with simple torch work. You will learn sweat soldering, pick soldering and other techniques for joining silver, copper and brass. Develop the foundation needed to fabricate beautiful and unique jewelry. Discuss how to set up your own basic soldering station at home with minimal tools and equipment. This class is essential to any beginning jeweler! ★ No Experience Necessary!
