Enameling is the technique of applying specially formulated colored glass compounds to metal, and then fusing the enamels to the metal with heat. Learn how in this hands-on three day workshop and how to begin applying it to your own jewelry making. View and discuss examples of ancient to modern day enameled projects and techniques. Experiment with simple techniques including opaque, transparent enamels, sifting, sgraffito, stenciling, wet packing and more. Create pieces & pendants in copper while discovering the many possibilities of this process.
