Instructor: Sage Jacote


Enchanted by things of fire and light for more than 18 years, Sage has traveled the world to inspire, while releasing the burning embers of her spirit through unique fire/light dance, music and performance. She was winner of Home of Poi “Circles of Light 2” world wide fire spinning contest with a special featured video called “Behind the Flame”. She also has been featured in “The Fire All-stars Vol 1”, “Encyclo-Poi-dia volume 2” and has been cast in several movies with her fire performing. She has taught flow arts workshops and or performed at Fuji Fire and Santoga Festival in Japan, Splore Fest in New Zealand, Fire Drums, Flowstorm, Pacific Fire,  Nocturnal Fest, Euphoria Fest, Electric Daisy Carnival, Art Outside Fest, Arise Fest, Burning Man and more. She also has performed with such artist as Tool, Polish Ambassador, Ghostland Observatory, Crystal Method, Rev. Horton Heat, Cheap Trick, Opiu, KanNal, Bassnector, Atash, Quixotic and more.

Sage continually pushes the boundaries of fire dance, flow arts, light spinning, teaching and performance with innovative tools, costumes, characters, Shamanic influences and by studying different dance and martial arts forms.  She is the founder, artistic director and main choreographer of long standing Austin, TX performance art troupe, Sangre Del Sol.  She also is one of the main dancers and choreographers in the fire troop Solar Rain. 

Her other talents include Herbology, Massage Therapy and Silversmithing. She has 10 years of studying and making jewelry with many different teachers and loves working with metal and stones.  Some of the techniques she has studied include  Stone Setting, Soldering, Fabrication, Riveting, Casting, Enameling and Precious Metal Clay.  Realizing that working with these elements can be a therapy of sorts it fits right into her helping people be inspired to rekindle that creative fire so they can feel their inner beauty.  She has been working with Creative Side Jewelry Academy in Austin, Texas for many years as a helper and teacher.  She sells her jewelry and art in different galleries in Texas.
