I wasn’t sure what I was going to do with my life until I was introduced to metalsmithing. When I lit the torch for the first time and watched the color and flexibility of the metal change with the introduction of heat, I was instantly hooked! I have spent the last four years working as an apprentice to Steve Kriechbaum, one of my former professors and a professional goldsmith for 40 years. I learn a million new things every day and am constantly expanding my horizons. I have developed a unique love for fine wire filigree work and the entire process of lost wax casting.
I am passionate about taking the skills I have come to love so much and passing them on to others. Every student brings a new story and fresh outlook to the studio, keeping us invigorated and always moving forward. It is incredibly rewarding to see that spark light up inside when it all clicks into place and they ‘get it’! I am honored to be a part of that process.
